I have been having some power steering issues and I deleted my hydraulic fan. I wanted to do a multi part series on YouTube explaining it but my anxiety keeps me from really making what feel to be a video that people would watch. The HD fan is always spinning regardless. 12 V is supplied to the fan all the time, assuming the fuse is not blown. The speed is controlled by the PCM via the TIPM and control wire. Some use a test lamp (regular bulb) on the fan control, it should get brighter and dimmer depending on the fan speed set.
